From Bobby Day (1958) to Nick Lachey (2007), one-hit wonders provide nostalgic yet fresh flavor to this year’s KSO Valentine Gala. The Tri-state’s top studio musicians and vocalists will knock off the widely popular singles of one-hit artists from the 1950s, ‘60s ‘70s, ‘80, ‘90s and ‘00s for your listening and dancing pleasure. Grab your sweetheart and boogie down to Northern Kentucky’s “party of the year.”
The evening begins with a cocktail hour, followed by a scrumptious three-course meal with wine. Be sure to show the Symphony and your date some love by taking home a Valentine gift from our fabulous silent auction, or by winning a “hot new item” via the various new quick-draw raffles. And don’t forget the Grand Raffle for an all-inclusive week in Jamaica.
After dessert snuggle with your Valentine or head to the dance floor as the KSO’s “Boogie Band” serves up one-hit wonders of The Starland Vocal Band, Los Del Rio, Debby Boone, Katrina and the Waves, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, The Surfaris and many more. (I bet you can name the songs already).
Join KSO Music Director James Cassidy, the KSO Boogie Band and eight dynamite vocalists for drinks, dinner and dancing — Saturday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. — in the Ballrooms at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, sponsored by PNC. Admission is just $125 per person*. (Those wishing preferential seating are encouraged to become a member of the “Leading Chorus” at $175 per person.)
